Ren Faire Today.

Though I have a slightly tweaked neck, and H stepped on a bougainvillea branch a few days ago (thus got a sizable hole from a sizable thorn in her foot), this is the best situation we have been in to get ourselves to the Ren Faire in the past several weeks. No one is sick. No one is exhausted from two days of massive sun exposure in a row (snow and baseball game). No in-laws visiting. No 4-H events we knew about before planning today (C is missing a visit to small stock, but we just found out about that on Wednesday).

Okay, not the most ideal day, but we're going dang nabbit.

And in garb.

Just let me grab some acetaminophen for my neck.

I wish the temperature projections were in the 60's like last weekend, rather than the low 80's, but ah well.

S got the ring in her joust, and got a small plastic dagger as a reward. They had her kneel and named Lady Lily (Lily being her faire name this year).


C didn't get the ring in his joust. Once he saw S with her plastic dagger he wanted to play again to try for his chance at a dagger. Since it was 3.00 a joust I talked C into buying a wooden dagger at a shop instead.


We love this fairy.
