Jan. 24th, 2014 12:45 pmThis morning H and I were waiting for about an hour for her turn to get some blood drawn. We are getting her blood tested for food allergies and allergens local to our area. I was planning on having a book with me, but forgot it at home. H gave me a pencil to use and a page from her drawing pad.
This was the result.
It was kind of fun having nothing to do but focus on drawing for nearly an hour. I'm usually not patient enough to finish the drawings I start.
The bird didn't take me the whole time; I also made a little girl (about 4 or 5 waiting for her baby brother's turn to get some blood drawn) a little horse finger puppet. I remember how hard it could be in those days with a little kid bored by the extra long wait in quiet places, waiting on grownup things to do. They got called in before us (which is why I realized the appointment was for the baby) and the little girl was still wearing her finger puppet when they came out of the back area.
