Tuesday.
Election day.
H, S, M, and I all voted. I was concerned there would be very long lines. I even packed sandwiches and brought a book to read to the girls to pass the time. All planning for naught. M found a website that gave line length and time estimates for various polling locations; he found us one with zero line. They were organized and efficient, though the new touch screens for checking in made for a weird experience. We all wore our masks; they offered us gloves, but did not require their use, thank goodness. We got provided ball point pens to color in our little circles, then we had to drop them in a bucket when we deposited our ballots.
Then came the waiting for the election results. Today is Thursday, still waiting. These next few months are going to be a cluster fun.

Wednesday.
I listened to almost every podcaster I follow to get their day after election day reaction. I often listen to older podcast with the same enjoyment as current ones, but there are some events that are big enough that going back to listen to speculation from before they occurred isn't fun. This election seems to be one of those events. I'm likely to backfill on podcasts at some point, but that point may be a long time coming. It's all too raw right now.
