Homeschool Prom.

crazychicknladyThe girls had an absolute blast at their prom. There was Alice in Wonderland decorations and food, lots of dancing and silliness, and a live DJ. The DJ told the kids that they were a much better group than the folks at the reception she worked right before their dance. I have been informed that the Macarena was done to songs not the Macarena (and later to the Macarena) and there were several spontaneous Conga lines (including a double one where half the line congaed backwards). Also, at one point, the entire group sang along to "Let it Go".
The girls stayed the entire time, and hung out an extra half hour after, socializing.
I told the girls their prom sounded much funner than mine. H wondered if it was because of their generation, or because it was a prom full of homeschoolers. The latter, definitely, the latter.
S is already hoping there is another one of these next year. H only has one more year before she officially graduates highschool, but S could conceivably manage three more Proms before she's done.
