Grateful, Day 12: Weird Al
May. 8th, 2018 08:31 pmHubby and I are with the kids to see Weird Al in his Ill-Advised Vanity Tour tonight.

Picture of overpriced merch, not likely to follow us home.
I am grateful we can do this sort of thing as a family. We bought these tickets ages ago, and sometimes it seems like a minor miracle that we all made it; H didn't have to work, and none of us are sick.
Emo Phillips was the intro Act.
Now it's time to hear Cheese Sandwich sing.
ETA: I forgot that concerts are always way too loud. I'm glad I went, but next time M can take the kids and I'll stay home. There was good, though. The comic was really funny. Near the end of the concert Weird Al did a great medley of his older stuff, then played The Saga Begins as his final encore, which was awesome. https://youtu.be/hEcjgJSqSRU
My ears still hurt, though.
ETA 2: This post seemed a little slim on the gratitude, so here's some more:
My kids had a good time, and they are old enough to remember this.
We ran into an old acquaintance who also went to the concert and we had a very pleasant exchange; I've decided we need to invite him to the next house filk.
My husband drove, so I can just relax on the way home.
We have a copy of UHF at home, and definitely have to watch it again soon. C would have been too young to remember it from the last time we had it on.
