Busy Wednesday.
May. 16th, 2018 08:36 pmToday was challenging, exhausting, but oddly satisfying:
Prep dinner - start beans cooking and chicken shredding.
Wake S.
Do morning animal stuff.
Prep chicken area for flood day.
Wake C.
Clean and wrap Ezra's leg.
Pick up a couple bags of dog/horse poop.
Wake H.
Check on dinner prep.
Scrub out water buckets.
Haul garbage to front for tomorrow pickup.
Grab 3 kids and book it to Teen group coffee get together*.
Get back home with 15 minutes to put the horses away, tend to dinner, and squeeze in any more flood prep needed.
Drive S to violin.
Get home with 10 minutes to spare before needing to open the pipes for flooding with just enough time to hug H before she goes to work.
Open flood pipes and deal with flooding.
Get hubby dinner.
Discuss game possibilities with S about OoTS game.
Do nighttime animal stuff.
Take shower.
Take 20 spare minutes to write this post.
Likely finish off OoTS game started last night if H is up for it after she gets home from work.
*That turned out surprisingly enjoyable. I got a very tasty coffee drink and spent the whole time playing Exploding Kittens with some of the kids (translation: no boring parent conversations). I met H's new friend, who joined us for a few rounds of kitten mayhem. S wandered off and talked with a couple of the teens; they talked about weird stuff, and S said relaxing into being weird around them felt awesome.
