April 12. Easter.
Apr. 12th, 2020 12:41 pmUnfortunately, with the timing of their work shifts today, we can't manage to carve out a window where both H and S can have Easter dinner at the same time. We've accepted that we're going to have a dinner with four tonight, while giving H leftovers tomorrow.
I'm planning on doing a ham, rice pilaf, potatoes, asparagus, and broccoli. Also, of course, five types of dessert; we have a store bought chocolate pie to go along with the homemade goodies S and I made yesterday. I just wish I'd managed to remember icecream during my last shopping trip, but I suppose we'll muddle through.
S and C got their Easter baskets delivered to their bedrooms this morning.

H's will magically appear in her truck tonight, while she's at work. S helped me fill her sister's basket, encouraging me to include paper towels, toilet paper, and wrapping paper, since H is a grownup now, and grownup Easter baskets should contain more practical items. She still gets a bunny, though.
