We had a wonderful family day today (Even DH got to go with us). We went to a park with a little attached amusement park part. It had a carousel, a mini ferris wheel, train and a wave runner ride.
On our way there we grabbed some pizzas at a near by Little Caesars, and had an impromptu pick nick. The kids played on the playground for a bit, then we headed towards the rides.
H was greatly disappointed that she was too tall to go on the mini ferris wheel, but still managed to have a good time.
After lots of rides we broke out the scooters (H skated for a few minutes first). Unfortunately the designers of the park did not make the pavement scooter friendly. There were lots of sidewalks, but they were broken up into small patterned sections - pretty, but way too bumpy.
Finally, after a few more rides, we scootered over to a different playground, one with a tire swing, and played till it got too dark.
