There's a pipe leak in the middle of the road, so I'm sitting here waiting for them to finish the repair so they can turn my water back on.

If the apocalypse actually hits (whatever variety you want, take your pick, reader's choice), what's going to kill us is not lack of food, but lack of water.

At least where I live.

We have water. Come on over. If you can grow your own food, you will be ok. If you are relying on grocery stores, you might have a problem. S--

I only know one person who gardens enough to genuinely feed her family on the product, and it is basically like having a full time job.

If we get to the point where gardens are truly our only hope, starvation will be widespread and that's not a future I'm prepared to embrace.

I'll let you know if I ever seriously contemplate supplementing our meat supply with the pigeons that get stuck in our duck house and steal our bird food, though.
