H's first karate class was today. She enjoyed it.

Local rec center beginning karate ;-)

However, when she is 9, H will have to move into the older kids class and the catalog says that they do Kenpo.

I know, but the catalog actually says "beginning karate". *Shrug*

That's silly of them, then. I know some classes do that and it always drives me nuts. You should ask them what style they're teaching! If it's the same people who are doing the Kenpo classes, presumably it's beginning Kenpo. But there's no reason to not just say that in the catalogue! *grumble*
