So H, at the ripe old age of 9, has decided to call me Mom. She says Mommy sounds too little girlish. Ah well, at least she isn't insisting on only calling me by my first name.

"Mom" was a hard one for me too. Both my kids started doing it at the same time. Wait until H hits the "Mu-ther!" phaze. --S

Ha ha :). Yeah, I'll wait a bit for that one if I can ;-).

At least I still have two calling me "Mommy". S even commented how it sounds weird when H says "Mom." I agreed with her.

The funny thing is, I never set out to be called Mommy, I tried to get my kids to say Momma. It worked for a while, but did not stick long term.
