Is it just me?

Have you ever written out a word, and it just looked wrong?

I often spell words correctly. Especially if I can write them out without thinking about how they are spelled. My problem comes when I have mistyped something, and have to go back and think about how it is spelled. Then, many times, I cannot "see" how it is supposed to look.

Thank goodness for spell check and Google. (Even if they fail me sometimes.)

Lincoln Logs Rock

My parents came by for a visit today, and they brought the Lincoln Log set we had when I was a kid. The kids and I collaborated on a cabin. Note the old style wooden slats for the roof; new sets these days just have all plastic roofs. I like the old wooden ones much better.




And while building houses is all well and good. C discovered a different use for the Lincoln Logs: a car.


And, of course, never underestimate the value of the container the toy comes in.
